First Edition! The first 75 sold will be signed and numbered by the creator.
What a great game! It's fun. It's fast-paced. Players roll the dice and move themselves or their opponents. Move yourself towards SAFE. Move your opponents towards DEAD. Form alliances with other players and keep them in the game. Or gang up on players you want to eliminate.
No Shared Pieces. No Shared Germs.
Games are fun, but are they safe? With most games, players are touching the same cards or dice or money. SAFE or DEAD: Social Distancing Edition solves that problem by giving each player their own set of components. No shared pieces. No shared germs! Every piece can be sanitized before and/or after play.
Are all of your pawns dead? You can't win, but you're not out of the game. You'll continue to take a turn every round. But now, all of the other players are at your mercy. Do you have an ally you want to help? Do you want to get revenge on those who did you harm? When you're in spirit mode, everyone wants to be your friend!
You can sit six feet apart while playing the game. Each player’s pieces are packaged separately to help prevent the spread of germs, and all pieces can be sanitized.
It's a great game for any environment! Being able to play it while social distancing is just an added benefit.
No. The players just need somewhere to set down their board, and they need be able to see the other players’ boards.
Players don’t share any game pieces, and all the components can be sanitized. Also, players don’t need to sit right next to each other.
So you can save money. Why pay for 6 players if you only need 4? If you need more than 4, you can buy them separately.
Yes! You are only limited by the number of player sets you have. With more than six players, the game will be a bit more raucous and will move a bit more slowly.
Absolutely! Virtually anyone that can count can play the game. We put the teen recommendation on the box because not all children are comfortable with the “dead” aspect of the game.
We recommend that you use sanitizing wipes to wipe down all components. Any brand of sanitizing wipes will work. Do not immerse the board in water. Let all components dry completely before putting them back in the resealable plastic bag.
No. Any sanitizing or anti-bacterial wipes will work.
A) Not yet. Keep an eye on the website. One will be available soon.
When this game becomes as popular as Monopoly (I dream big), the signed copies will be worth something! So hold onto it. When the signed copies are gone, they’re gone!
I am. Cindy Dorn. I have been playing board games and card games all my life. I have literally hundreds of games in my game closet and I have gotten rid of just as many over the years. I often revise the rules of game to better fit a situation or crowd. I have created and hosted my own game shows and scavenger hunts. Safe or Dead is not the first board game I have created, but it’s the first one that’s being sold. Watch for more of my games in the months and years to come!
